Ohio Quality Improvement Fund Program Ends

The Finance Fund’s contract to administer the Ohio Quality Improvement Fund (QIF) has ended. We are no longer accepting applications for this program. QIF was funded by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

During the contract period over $2 million was awarded to a record 1,525 Type A and Type B home child care providers and child care centers throughout the state affecting 40,612 children as a result of QIF. The program provided grants that paid for small equipment and furnishings as well as fencing, surfacing, shade structures and fall zones for playgrounds.

The Step Up To Quality Pilot program grant is still available in Athens, Hocking, Perry, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Lucas, and Stark counties through Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association. Please contact your local Resource and Referral representative for details.
