Our Accomplishments, Outcomes, and Invested Dollars
- Through the Linked Deposit Fund, partnerships with various local banks have provided lower interest rates to clients leveraging over $308 million since 1989. $25.3 million has been invested in 134 projects creating 967 full-time jobs and 4,061 units of new or rehabilitated housing.
- The PreDevelopment Program has leveraged $86.7 million on an investment of $6.6 million for 497 projects, providing 7,388 housing units and creating 4,545 full-time jobs since 1992.
- Since 1997, the Economic Development Grant has leveraged $125.2 million on an investment of $5.3 million for 64 projects and created 2,477 full-time jobs.
- The PreDevelopment Section 8 Program has rehabilitated 3,472 low-income housing units and leveraged $793,511 on an investment of $371,385 for 19 projects since 1999.
- Launched in 2004, the New Markets Loan Program has leveraged $336 million on an investment of $125.9 million for 37 projects providing 389 housing units, creating 3,182 full-time jobs and serving 536 children.
- Beginning in 2008, the Intermediary Relending Program has leveraged $6.4 million by lending $257,396 to 2 businesses that created or retained 131 full-time jobs.
- Beginning in 2008, the LandLOC Loan Program has leveraged $12.1 million on an investment of $1.3 million to 7 projects providing 107 housing units.
- Finance Fund Capital Corporation, the lending arm of Finance Fund, made its first loan in 2006 and has leveraged $45.4 million on an investment of $17.3 million to 22 borrowers, which provided 22 housing units and created or retained 527 full-time jobs.
- Launched in 2009, the Cars for Jobs and Diplomas Program (By Car) provides a matching grant or a guarantee to low-income individuals to obtain or retain employment and/or education with the purchase of a vehicle. This program has leveraged $639,952 on an investment of $358,783 for 136 vehicles.
- From 1994-2005, the Head Start Facilities Planning Grant leveraged $8.7 million from a $1 million investment into 114 projects producing 700 early care and education classrooms serving 11,902 children.
- The Child Care Capital Fund was created in 1996. This fund has leveraged more than $55.2 million on an investment of $8.1 million for 22 projects producing 160 early care and education classrooms providing quality childcare to 2,558 children.
- Since 1997, the Child Care and Child Care II Facilities Planning Grants have leveraged $23.6 million on an investment of $1.1 million for 78 projects producing 651 early care and education rooms serving 13,889 children.
- The Head Start Critical Repair and Safety Grant provided “one-time” emergency dollars for critical health and safety issues within Head Start classrooms. This program leveraged $268,184 on an investment of $187,909 for 30 projects from 2001-2002.
- From 2004-2006, the Ohio Quality Improvement Fund’s Family Child Care, Playground, and Step Up To Quality Grants have funded 1,525 projects from an investment of $1.9 million serving 40,612 children to improve the quality of their early care and education environments.
